What is the difference between rising stem and non rising stem gate valves?

Rising stem(OSY) and non rising stem(NRS) are common structural forms in gate valve, and there are obvious differences in their characteristics, working principle and application scenarios.

OSY gate valve is easy to observe and operate, suitable for higher requirements for valve status;

NRS gate valve has better corrosion prevention and sealing performance, suitable for the valve status requirement is not high or need good corrosion prevention performance.

In the selection and application of gate valves, according to the specific requirements and working conditions, choose the appropriate rising or non rising stem gate valve will help to ensure the normal operation and safety of the system.
